The Haute Food Co., Plaza Damas, Kuala Lumpur

I was introduced to Haute Food Co. by MichYap...we got sick and tired of having mamak for lunch so we decided to treat ourselves here...

Fuss-free, tasty cafe food. When you step into this quaint cafe, you feel like you have been transported to a cafe in Auckland (or Melbourne, according to KChoo)

Feeling peckish I decided to start off with the soup of the day: wild mushroom (mushroom soup is always way winner for me). The portion was pretty good size but and was accompanied by some yummy homemade bread (which made me kinda full halfway through...)

I was actually pretty stuffed after my starter and was worried I wouldn't be able to finish my lasagne...but it was so tasty, I polished that too! *surprise surprise*

What everyone else had...

Smoked salmon & rocket fritata

(I think this was) a beef sandwich with rye bread
Dessert: Some kind of toffee/caramel cake

Dessert: A really dreamy Chocolate Dream *drools*

Some kind crumble concoction with vanilla ice-cream (check out the fork: someone couldn't wait for me to finish taking pix!)

The coffee at this cafe was pretty good too...a good place for tea-time.

My second outing @ Haute Food Co.

Beef & Vegetable soup

Sandwiches always seem like a popular choice here - turkey ham sarnie...

Vegetable fritata

Going ol' school with my Saturday breakfast...

One of my earliest childhood (eating) memory is being given roti canai for breakfast/lunch for breakfast with sugar because back then the curries were probably too spicy my young inexperienced palate.

I remembered it actually did enhance the taste of the roti in an interesting way and decided to do a mash-up with brown sugar (seemingly healthier option), dhal and curry...
The result was good with a very satisfied customer (me obviously) and topped off with local Kluang coffee *burp* Happy Weekend!
